Maintenance Technician - 1st Shift - 5am-5pm - Up to $39/hr*

50 per hour shift differential for hours worked between 6 pm-6 am Must be flexible for overtime and weekend work The maintenance technician position is responsible for performing preventative and corrective maintenance on production and company assets.
Duties, Responsibilities and Abilities:
Proficient in working with cutting torch, grinder, drill press, and hand tools.
Proficient in working with motors, brakes and clutches.
Proficient in welding and metal fabrications.
Proficient in pneumatic systems.
Proficient in troubleshooting hardwire controls of 480 and 120 volts.
Assist production in breakdowns.
Complete work orders and preventative maintenance schedules.
Experience:
Must also be able to read electrical schematics and blueprints.
Must have basic mechanical, electoral, PLC, and troubleshooting skills as well as basic maintenance skills experience.
Must be available to work off shifts.
Prefer four to six years of manufacturing maintenance experience.
Working Conditions and Physical Effort:
Work involves daily exposure to unusual elements, such as dirt, dust, fumes, darkness, and/or noise.
Seasonal exposure to weather elements to include, but not limited to, extreme temperatures, wetness and humidity.
Work environment involves daily exposure to physical risks, such as working around mechanical equipment, forklifts, chemical hazards, and electrical hazards.
Position requires the ability to stand; walking around office and plant; lifting and carrying packages up to 50 pounds; utilizing fine dexterity; and reaching, kneeling, crawling and twisting on a daily basis.
Also requires the ability to see; hear; and communicate with associates as well as others by utilizing professional etiquette.
Must be able to climb vertical ladders to 80'.
Any work necessary to facilitate the plant conducting business.
Personal protective equipment, as defined by Pioneer Frozen Foods will be provided.
