The Service Advisor will provide estimated cost analysis of automotive repairs and routine maintenance.
Job Duties:
Prepares and advises on service estimates, sells routine maintenance, repair services, and follow-up regarding unsold services and customers.
Effectively speaks and advises customers on service recommendations for routine maintenance.
The Service Advisor assists in identifying mechanical problems by questioning the customer and/or doing a visual inspection or road test.
Prepares a repair order indicating time and labor estimates for recommended service.
The Service Advisor maintains contact with the technicians to ensure the work is completed in a timely manner.
Schedules appointments, responds to phone calls, and collects funds for services.
The Service Advisor assists in the coordination of alternate transportation, rental car reservations, and shuttle services.
Demonstrates exceptional attention to detail while assisting and consulting with customers.
Establishes a promised time.
The Service Advisor checks with the dispatcher if necessary.
Job Requirements:
Stand, walk, or sit for long periods of time without resting.
(Up to 5 hours) Good communication skills Ability to work well both individually and as part of a team.
Ability to read and interpret documents, write routine reports and correspondence, speak effectively to employees, managers, and customers.
